SUSPENSION SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY

What does the PROJUMP® System do to eliminate or substantially reduce the harmful shocks that are created while riding and jumping?

The PROJUMP® Stirrups are custom-made for each rider based on the rider’s individual characteristics related to the significant variables of force creation, such as rider’s height, weight and height of jumps. The PROJUMP® System helps to absorb the peak levels of force and shock that will occur during the two-point canter/gallop and jumping stages.
The PROJUMP® System augments the flexion of the ankles by lowering the stirrup in two stages (stage 1 two-point canter/gallop, and stage 2 jumping) in response to the force generated, substantially reducing or eliminating the harmful shocks and thereby assisting the rider to stay in harmonic balance with the horse.

Each stirrup (left and right) will respond independently to the force created. At the walk, the stirrups will not yield and will have little or no movement at the trot or the sitting canter. At the two-point canter/gallop, both stirrups will yield to the force, especially the outside stirrup. For example, at the left lead two-point canter/gallop, the outside (right) stirrup will respond more than the inside (left) stirrup due to the increased outside force created by the natural motion of the horse (and vice versa at the right lead two-point canter/gallop). At the landing from a jump (where the highest level of force is created) if the rider is centered both will respond similarly, and if the rider places more weight in one stirrup, for example preparing for a tight turn, then that stirrup will respond more and provide greater support.
